The Home Space Grand Opening

Boasting inspirational full-sized display homes in a unique 27,000 square foot space, the country’s largest-of-its-kind showroom opened earlier this month.

The Home Space from Express Bi-folding Doors displays their full portfolio of premium architectural aluminium products including bi-folding and sliding doors, windows, glass roofs and much more. All products are installed within show-homes or room sets alongside design-led home interior solutions, with working kitchens, technical build areas, consultation areas, even a roof skylight viewing deck and glass innovation centre where you even can learn how glass is made.

We were invited to attend the VIP launch on 16th September and Lesley gladly obliged. The launch party at Express Bi-folds was attended by Phil Spencer and Dom Littlewood (pictured), Emmerdale actress Lucy Pargeter, Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councillor Gerry Harper and Leeds West MP Rachel Reeves. There were also several chefs cooking up delicious food in the kitchen sets. It was a wonderful event.The showroom is set within the premises where all of Express Bi-fold's products are made, meaning visitors can also enjoy a tour of the huge manufacturing facility. There is even a children's entertainment area to keep little ones busy.

We installed a SK101: Eliminate Skylight within the show area. This is a tensioned roof blind (skylight) designed to both insulate the glass roof lantern in the winter months and keep the room cool within the summer months. This system is designed to either defuse light and glare or completely blackout the room (dependent on fabric type).

The SK-Series is designed specifically for roof-lights and are the ideal complement to modern glass architecture. We have three products available, however, our designers and engineers are happy to create bespoke solutions for particular architectural challenges.

The new Leeds showroom is the most extensive showroom in the country regarding product offering, and arguably the best architectural aluminium showroom in Europe.
