Brief

The deluxe Worsley Park Marriott Hotel, home to an 18-hole, PGA championship golf course, is always looking for opportunities to innovate in order to retain its loyal clientele and attract new customers.

Survey

On a speculative visit, James Robertshaw suggested installing two 5m x 5m P-Series Parasols in the courtyard area to shield clients from summer sunshine and winter rain, and ultimately to open up the area all year long. The Marriott jumped at the opportunity. The parasols now offer year round comfort to almost two-thirds of the courtyard, with integral heat and lighting, adding to the area’s ambience and complementing the hotel’s character.

Result

The Marriott had already looked at how they might use the area more effectively through the seasons, so the timing was perfect. Their loyal customers are particularly happy with more occasions to enjoy the hotel’s stunning outdoor setting in the glorious sunshine!
